Nicola obtained her undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University in 2005, her law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2008 and was called to the bar in May of 2009. Nicola joined the firm in 2006 and has had a primary focus on family law since that time.
Nicola has appeared at the Provincial, Supreme and Appellate Court levels in British Columbia, has negotiated settlements for her clients and drafted marriage and separation agreements which address a variety of issues.
Nicola was a contributor and presenter at the 2012 Family Law Drafting Course offered through the Continuing Legal Education Society and has assisted in editing a chapter of the Annotated Family Practice Manual. She is also a member of the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association Family Subsection in Vancouver.
Nicola was a member of both the Law Student's Legal Advice Program which provided free legal services to lower income individuals and the CoRe Conflict Resolution Program which provides volunteer mediation services. She was also the co-captain of the UBC Law Women's Rugby Team.
Nicola is currently a volunteer with the Access Justice/Pro Bono program providing legal services specific to the area of family law to lower income parties. She is also a member in good standing of the Canadian Bar Association Family Law subsection.
