
Jesse graduated from UBC Law in 2009. He was called to the Bar in British Columbia in May of 2010. Prior to attending law school Jesse earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University College of the Cariboo in 2003 and a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia in 2004. Jesse has worked with the firm since 2007, and articled with the firm in 2009-2010.
Jesse participated in numerous negotiation and dispute resolution courses and competitions during law school. He was awarded in the 2007 UBC Environmental Negotiation Competition and received First Place in the 2007 UBC American Bar Association Negotiation Competition. He was also selected as a member of the UBC moot team for the inaugural Canadian Mediation Advocacy Competition in 2008. As part of his education Jesse participated in the Small Claims Mediation Program, acting as a mediator in Small Claims disputes.
Along with senior counsel, Jesse has produced materials for CBA and CLE events, including most recently a paper on common-law defenses to family law agreements presented in at the CLE Biennial Family Law Conference in September of 2009.
Jesse has appeared in both the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia on family law matters.
Jesse is currently a member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association and a non-practicing member of the British Columbia College of Teachers.
