
Diane earned a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2008, and a Juris Doctor from the UBC Faculty of Law in 2011. Diane started working with Schuman Daltrop Basran & Robin in February 2010 and will begin her articles at the firm in August 2011.
During her time at law school Diane participated in the Peter Burns Mock Trial Competition, assisted with networking events as an elected member of the Careers Committee, and served as a Judicial Intern with the B.C. Provincial Court for one semester. As well, Diane received the Evelyn and Sherwood Lett Entrance Scholarship, the James Pozer Award for outstanding contribution to the Law Students' Legal Advice Program (LSLAP), and the Richard Sugden Prize for her performance in an advanced trial advocacy course.
Diane's prior work experience includes acting as the Director of the Student Distress Centre at the University of Alberta, where she trained and supervised volunteers in providing peer support services. Diane also spent one summer as an intern with WorkSafeBC, where she reviewed workers' compensation claims and issued written decisions.
In her spare time Diane enjoys learning how to snowboard, playing tennis recreationally, and volunteering for the KidStart mentoring program. Diane also holds a Performer's ARCT diploma in piano from The Royal Conservatory of Music.
