Wendy Mertin ASSISTANT

Jesse graduated from UBC Law in 2009. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2010. Prior to attending law school, Jesse earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University College of the Cariboo and a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia.

Jesse has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia on family law matters. His practice involves a mix of litigation and negotiated settlements, as well as unbundled services as an advisor to self-represented litigants and other lawyers. Jesse’s practice focuses on high-asset division, corporate and trust issues in Family Law Act, and complex income determination under the Federal Child Support Guidelines. He tries to bring a practical, common-sense approach to family law in order to reduce the cost, time and emotional strain clients can experience when dealing with family law issues.

Jesse is currently a member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia. He is a long-standing member of the Executive Committee for the CBABC Vancouver Family Law Subsection. Jesse is a frequent presenter for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and the Parenting Coordination Roster Society.

Outside of the office Jesse enjoys reading, spoiling his cats, watching thoughtless action films and recreating classic (old) cocktails.
